Here’s a little peek behind the studio curtain for you: a lot of my Hero pieces start with normal faces!

As I layer on the paint, most of them make it to their full bunny-headed glory.

However, a lucky few get to show their human faces to the world for eternity.

Sometimes the human face just works. It feels heroic and it communicates the emotion I’d like to see on the canvas.

So, this is a bunny head Hero in spirit. He didn’t get his floppy bunny ears, but he carries a noble heart, and he’s definitely here to save the day.

I’m quite proud of him.
