A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST:

When I last lived in New York City, I saw a beautiful piece of graffiti on the Manhattan Bridge that has never left my mind.

“SEE THE CITY IN TECHNICOLOR”

Someone had scrawled in in black spray paint on the Manhattan side. I caught it at sunset, with the burning orange city shining behind it, and it nearly brought me to tears.

I like to think Hero particularly enjoys doing his heroic work in the technicolor city of New York. This painting portrays him in a more cutesy, cartoonish style, which I love.
