A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST:

Some paintings just take a long damn time to finish. This one might hold my personal record.

I started this piece in late Winter 2023, and I feel ready to call it finished almost exactly two years later.

She was a tricky one. Work it a bit, then put it away for longgg months, until it had a bit more to say.

It’s interesting to me, then, that the final product is so immediate. It’s loud and in charge. It brings ENERGY that has built up over months of marinating, I suppose.

I’m learning to be patient with matters of the heart.
