My bunny-headed "Hero" character is, at his core, a manifestation of how happy and brave I'd like to feel every day.
Life is hard. When I faced some rather severe challenges in my childhood, I turned to the magic of cartoons and video games for help.
How would my favorite video game character handle my tough situation? (He or she would be happy and brave, of course.) This is the core of my work surrounding Hero, who in this painting reminds me a bit of the movie "Space Jam" with his adorable basketball look.
I hope that when you hang this colorful piece in your space, you feel encouraged to seek breakthroughs. Breaking through is usually a small act, by the way. Choosing one small internal change can really add up. At least, that's what I tell myself. :)
