Cody Gene is a figurative painter whose work has been featured in The Los Angeles Times and on the HULU original series Midcentury Modern.

Gene began his professional painting career on social media in 2019, when he started sharing process videos that quickly attracted a large following and led to collaborations with brands such as Toyota, Chips Ahoy, and Kung Fu Tea.

He is currently represented by Aurelia Gallery in Santa Fe, NM.

Cody’s conceptual work draws from a private spiritual language that he has employed since childhood. His semi-autobiographical “Hero” figure is enjoyed by collectors around the globe as a symbol of love and ecological justice.
